New Center Park, a developed green space located on the southwest corner of Second Avenue and West Grand Boulevard across from the Fisher Building, represents an exciting opportunity for New Center Council to provide a quality of life amenity for (potential and current) residents and employees of the neighborhood.

Renovation of the existing pocket park into an outdoor concert and concession venue (with a 700 person capacity) was completed in June of 2010.  The park now offers programming throughout the year and a reason to visit Detroit's Historic New Center daily.  New Center Park is open from 8 a.m. to dusk.

Activities taking place include Jazz in the Park, Rock Shows, Kids Activities, Electronic/DJ Shows, a Harvest Market, Folk Night, and Movie Night.  Special events range from Springfest, Octoberfest, and Holiday Sing-A-Longs.  New Center Park is also available for private rentals.

The renovated park venue will feature a pub-style bar and outdoor grill, lawn and patio seating, wireless internet access, an outdoor fire pit, a newly installed sound system, and dedicated park restrooms.

Your help is needed.
Your donation will directly fund the renovation of New Center Park and bring back seasonal entertainment to New Center.

Concession and sponsorship revenue from the renovated Park will not only underwrite entertainment and food costs, but also create a dedicated funding stream to support New Center Council’s district enhancing programs

By donating to this cause you will be contributing to the long-term viability of New Center!

Many sponsorship opportunities are available.  Please contact P. Julie Kouloumberis @ 313-872-0188 for complete packages.
